What does Alderfer offer?
Alderfer caters to many specialty markets and also the small shop market. They boast a large showroom full of unique cuts, slabs and biases in a wide range of in stock species. In the specialty line, they offer natural edge or live edge slabs in widths of 12”-35” wide, 5/4 through 12/4 thickness, and 2’-16’ long. All lumber is kiln dried right on premises.
When asked about the company’s values, John Alderfer stated, “We believe our customer service is a great value to the company. We have no minimum order and do deliveries. Meeting our clients’ needs in a quick manner and with a good product is very satisfying. Quality doesn’t cost, it pays!”
Alderfer and KWPA
Alderfer Lumber Company decided to support the KWPA and become a member because one of KWPA’s goals is to promote, market and facilitate the sales of PA’s forest products. “Our immediate area does not have a lot of businesses that do what we do”, says John, “We are the best hidden secret around!” Alderfer works with some of the other KWPA members and hopes that more of them become aware of what they do at Alderfer and build working relationships together.
Alderfer Lumber Company is a great asset to KWPA’s membership. They create jobs in the lumber industry workforce, promote sales of PA based hardwoods and do their part in being respectful to the environment by doing things like burning wood shavings to fuel their kilns. We encourage you to visit Alderfer Lumber Company (in person or online) and support their business.
